I recorded and edited this video that shows a system with uniquely large parts and loose fixturing requiring vision compensation. The customer parts needed to be kept confidential, so extra editing time was dedicated to censoring the parts from the video without obscuring too much of what was happening in Read more…
I recorded, edited, and narrated this product demonstration video for Matrix. The small footprint of weldment enclosures and rigid walls presents some difficulty shooting, but it was important for the company to highlight the bushing press since it is a somewhat unique system in their catalogue. The system features a Read more…
This is a system that I programmed and installed and also recorded, edited, and narrated the video for. I programmed the PLC and HMI for this system that loads a FANUC ROBODRILL that had been previously manually tended while controlling a retrofitted spurr on an existing conveyor line. Installation required Read more…
One of the first videos I created for Matrix. Demonstrates an inline automated gauging solution.
Matrix has built a lot of unique deburr systems, so it’s important to distinguish each one. I programmed the Siemens drives, PLC, and HMI, which includes the control of the conveyor, and its RFIDs, and the robot.
This is a relatively simple system, so the video is much shorter than others. However, it’s important to show that options exist beyond just making new systems. I taught the Fanuc robot and reprogrammed the PLC in the machine to add an interface for the retrofitted automation.
This one is kind of funny. It was recorded on an iPhone 6S propped up on top of a section 4×4 wood without any consideration that it would ever be edited together. So the video is an exercise in making the most out of limited footage. I actually programmed the Read more…
This video was just shot on a GoPro Hero 6 and iPhone X. The video quality is good enough, but what it shows and the story it tells is what is really important, and I think that’s where this one really succeeds. It’s a very complex system and there is Read more…
